Mark Bedford

Born in Waitara, Taranaki, I attended Pharmacy School at CIT in Heretaunga, graduating in 1976. I owned my first pharmacy in Silverstream and relocated to Tauranga in 1987, and built an integrated medical centre including a pharmacy which I have recently sold.

Now retired, and fully enjoying our favourite spot in paradise ( Matarangi) where we have had a holiday home for 25 years. My governance experience includes being on the Central Institute of Technology Council(13 years) Chair of Waipuna Hospice, Chair of Consumer NZ and recently Chair of The Pharmacy Council of NZ. I look forward to working with MRAI and the committee to ensure that this wonderful place continues to prosper and has the necessary infrastructure to do that.

My wife, Diane, and I have six adult children who share our passion for Matarangi and are with us here frequently.
