OUR MATARANGI
Situated on the eastern coast of the beautiful Coromandel Peninsula, north facing Matarangi beach has 4.5 km of pristine white sand and sparkling clear water.
Matarangi is a small community approximately 25 minutes drive from either the Whitianga or the Coromandel townships. The perfect place to base yourself and explore the amazing Coromandel Peninsula.
A home to many permanent and holiday residents, Matarangi has a Four Square Supermarket, Gift Shop, Cafe, Liquor Store, Golf Club, Bowls Green, Tennis Courts, a Boat Ramp and more.
Fish, dive, do one of the many local activities, or just relax.
The Matarangi Rate Payers Association Inc is a non-profit charitable organisation. Its purpose is to conserve, promote and advance the interests and welfare of the Matarangi community and represent our views to the Thames-Coromandel District Council, Waikato Regional Council, and other parties.
