Its purpose is to conserve, promote and advance the interests and welfare of the Matarangi community and represent our views to the Thames-Coromandel District Council, Waikato Regional Council, and other parties.
Imagine Coromandel Peninsula
Shaping the Coromandel Peninsula for the next generation.
Thames-Coromandel District Council is in the early stages of developing a big-picture plan for the Coromandel Peninsula that will outline what it should look like in 30+ years, and what needs to be done to get there.
Mercury Bay Community Board member Peter Mackenzie and TCDC Area Manager Heather Bruce will be coming to Matarangi for a pop up session next week, as part of the Imagine Coromandel Peninsula | Spatial Plan engagement.

This is part of the wider engagement programme currently underway across the district, including the main session at the Whitianga Town Hall on 1 August, along with a number of other engagement opportunities taking place throughout the district.
