Planned Dredging will take place:

Wednesday the 8th of October –Pontoon moved to the eastern side of the Jetty and secure in place.

Thursday the 9Th and 10th of October – Using a long reach excavator approximately 15m from the low tide mark to remove maximum 100m3 of sand/silt as per minor disturbances/deposit permitted activity under the Waikato Regional Coastal plan.

Saturday 11Th of October –Pontoon back into place

Given the nature of this ramp there is a mixture of black silt mud and sand, the sand will be extracted and placed to the eastern side of the Jetty up along the tree line and the black silt mud will be loaded onto a sealed truck and carted to a certified disposal site located locally in Matarangi.

The boat ramp will be closed to the public during dredging.
